Are You Top Dog in the Board Room But Timid on The Dating Scene?

Life Coaching for the Executive

“I don’t understand this myself.” He said, “I’m 49 years old and am CEO of a major tech firm. On a daily basis, I do global negotiations with enormous consequence. I’m never afraid. I feel bullet-proof, actually. I can think on my feet, be assertive, and am what you would call an extrovert.

Yet, after my divorce, I feel completely incapable of navigating the dating scene. At the end of the day, I wish I had someone to come home to. I miss having someone in my life. The problem is, however, dating sites scare me. It just seems so unnatural to meet someone online. Considering the fact that I spend all day looking at a computer screen, the idea of spending the evening looking at dating sites is simply undesirable. But, I want work-life balance.

The other day, I saw a woman on the subway. Our eyes met. I looked down. Our eyes met again. I gave her a sheepish grin and ran off in the opposite direction. I felt shy. I regret now that I didn’t have the courage to go up to her and ask her out on a date.

My work-life balance is completely out of whack. It feels like all I do is work. I want a woman in my life, but I was too chicken to go up to her and introduce myself. I was afraid she would think I was a weirdo.”

This is an all too common conversation I have with executives from around the world. From Dubai to New York, these Executive Life Coaching clients find themselves single again after many years of dating or being in a committed relationship and don’t know how to get back in the game.

Dating is painful because it forces you to start over, and over and over with each new person you meet. You feel pressure to carry the ball but at the same time, you feel timid, shy, nervous, and even fearful.

You think because you are a successful executive with numerous accolades and progress in your career, you should also be successful in your love life. Right?

The truth is it doesn’t matter how old you are or how accomplished you are when it comes to matters of the heart, we are all young and capable of reverting back to that shy, withdrawn, afraid and timid child.

Executive Life Coaching can help you match your success in the boardroom with your success in the bedroom. It can help you “find the right words” to not only close deals in your work life but also close deals in your love life. Executive Life Coaching will equip you with the same confidence you have making presentations when approaching women. It’s time to get your work-life balance on track.R
