We get training for everything else we do in life – from riding a bike, to driving a car, to synching our e-mail accounts. Yet few understand the role and impact that life coaching, communication training, and/or executive coaching can have in helping you to maximize your influence in the world.

To begin, it’s important to know your special gifts and talents as well as your challenges. Then you will know when you can trust your own thinking or when you are stuck in old, repetitive ways of thinking that get you the same results.

A great place to start is knowing your Passion Signature.

Your Passion Signature refers to the ways you present yourself in the world and how you seek fulfillment. It includes your gifts and talents, the way you solve problems and how you express yourself to others—in short, how you turn up.
Embodied in your personality types are clues to what holds you back in life. I’d like to introduce you to one of the passion types and see if it rings a bell.

Are you the Visionary?

If you exemplify many qualities of the Visionary, you are motivated by excellence and discipline. An optimist and a born leader, you aspire to bring out the best in others and want to make the world a better place. Whether you’re planning a business deal or deciding on the clothes you’ll wear to work, your attention to detail is fantastic. You set high goals and thrive in a clean, well-ordered environment.

These qualities accelerate your professional influence and often help you maintain high standards with your health and appearance. Regardless if you are CEO, Senior VP, Head of Sales or Executive Assistant, you run your life by an internal code of rules as you seek perfection and beauty in all things.

Problems arise, however, when you allow your perfectionism to become your Achilles Heel.

You may stand in the way of your own progress because it can make you afraid to make a mistake or try new things. You may live so much for a future outcome that you might not enjoy today as much as you could.  In fact, it may be hard for you to let down your emotional guard and just be “real.”

You may pressure yourself to think positive, and even deny any emotions you deem as negative. However our human emotional responses are the vessel through which we experience this thing we called “Life.” Sometimes what may seem like negative emotions are actually signals from your deep inner-self indicating a need for some kind of change or redirection.

You are challenged, here, to let down your guard and ask for help when it’s needed.

Once you figure out how to drop your mask and let others be imperfect, your relationships will improve and your natural leadership abilities will create a new reality where others naturally follow your lead.

If you learn to live for the process rather than the goal, you’ll have more energy to spare for the real experience of living, and your efforts will begin to bear fruit.

Here’s what others have said:

“I found your book “The Passion Principle” on Amazon. I should be working but I can’t put it down. You described me exactly – I am the Visionary/Perfectionist and I am holding myself back at work and at home.

I am so afraid to make a mistake or say the wrong thing that I say nothing while much lesser people are getting promoted around me. I have been trying for many years to figure myself out but nothing I have ever read about personality types has been so spot on. I need help!”
